Tickstory

Hello ,
I'm wondering if with the use of 1.8.7 we need another apps like tick data suite to read the tick data or it's useless now ?
2- what if I make my file readable ( not read-only ) is that wrong ?
3- If I use another app like tick data suite , the fxt file is turning to be 0 byte after testing and regain the normal size If I disable the another app

You do not require any third-party tools to back-test with Tickstory - this is optional. Tickstory is self-contained and contains all the features necessary to produce 99% quality back-tests and this remains the true for the latest version (NOTE: Tick Data Suite is a third-party tool and is not required to operate Tickstory).
