Tickstory

I have 2 issues.

1) I installed my license on my local PC (no MT4) and then realized it should be installed on my 2 VPS servers. I have it installed on one VPS but cannot install on the other because out of licenses. Is there a way to terminate licenses or send a new key so I can reinstall (and remove from local PC)

2) I have tried everything to get Export data into MT4 and cannot get 99%
a- tried Export to MT4 for H1 one month of data - stores files on VPS and then I launch MT4 from Tickstory and run a test and doesn't work
b tried export CSV file and importing - run for "Every tick" and still not 99% just ran it for 30 days and it was 90%. Do I need to run for a longer time period? When you open MT4 from Tickstory it automatically loads the history, etc? You don't have to "Download" correct?
3) When you try creating it as CSV it looks like it is not "every tick" so I assume Export MT4 is best route but cannot get it to 99%. I pick TICK on the "CSV" option but when I open the file it appears to be big gaps in data.

I load 1 year of data and it still starts at 10-28-2019

I am running the test now we will see what percentage I get.

The last test completed and it is only 68.88% "ticks modelled"

Thanks for the screenshot. The most likely cause of your issue is that you are exporting data to a location that is different to where MT4 expects it to be. You can test this by going to File->Open Data Folder in Metatrader and making sure the Explorer window goes to "C:\Program Files (x86)\MQD Metatrader 4" (which is the folder you are exporting to). If it is not, this is the cause of your problem.

To resolve this:

• Simply change your Tickstory configuration (File->Settings->Metatrader Data Folder) so your Data Folder matches Metatrader's.

or;

• If you do want to use portable mode (where your data folder is the same as your installation folder - i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\MQD Metatrader 4), specify the /portable switch in Tickstory's configuration settings so Metatrader looks in the "Program Files" folder for the exported data (This setup is described in the manual).

After the configuration change, please export your data again before re-attempting to test. You can confirm that you have exported to the correct folder by going to File->Open Data Folder in Metatrader 4 and then browsing to tester/history. Based on your screenshot settings, you should see a large file called "EURUSD0_60.fxt" in that folder.

It seemed like I may have been working yesterday but I had to stop it as killing performance on VPS.

The data folders match. I see the FXT file. I will try a test again. If I do a small date range should I still expect 99%?

That's good that your folders match. This means you are exporting to the correct folder. If you are still having problems, please make sure that the symbol you are exporting in Tickstory (eg. "EURUSD") matches exactly to that in your MT4 terminal. If not, you need to "map" your symbol as described in the manual and if you search "map to" in the forum and FAQ.

Yes, you can export a smaller amount of data - minimum around 3 months - just to do a test.
