SETTING "METATRADER INFO" FOR XAU/USD

Hi everyone, I have to do a backtest on XAU/USD.

I have to do the backtest on a euro account.

The broker has the server in London so GMT 0.

I uploaded the FXT file with my broker settings (see photo).

I would like to know if the settings are correct or if I have to set some parameters differently.

I have doubts about the highlighted parameters.

Hi Agulia,

All you need to do to get the correct symbol properties is select your symbol from the "Map to" drop-down. Once you do this, all your symbol settings such as the "base currency" field, is automatically populated. As for your Account Settings (the top section), if you are unsure settings like "margin currency", you can verify it by using the method described on this post. The process describes how to load the settings from a file that MT4 generates with these details. This process only needs to be done once for your broker.
