Mt4 needs to be connected?
I'm doing a large backtest (bought tickstory a few days ago). What I notice is that the mt4 client is constantly sending stuff to the broker I'm connected to. I'm not sure if this is necessary for the backtest or what the deal is here?

Hi Wonderbro,
I'm not sure what you mean by "sending stuff" but MT4 does maintain a connection to the broker and will send and receive information. You should be able to log out simply by specifying an incorrect password at the "login" screen. The strategy tester should still continue to work while offline.
