I am hoping you can help me...
I naively attempted to download 5 years worth of all available data for 5 separate pairs without realising just how much space they took up.
I now want to start from scratch and refine the data I do download so as not to fill up my hard drive. However deleting the files from this folder 'C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming\Tickstory\Tickstory Lite\Data' only frees up around 2gb of space.
Thanks
Ant
Deleting tickstory data
Re: Deleting tickstory data
Hi Ant,
Ideally you shouldn't be deleting the data in the "Dukascopy Data Folder" because Tickstory will need to download the data again from the web. The majority of the data will reside in the "MT4 Data Folder" in the tester/history directory. To get to this folder, in MT4 just go to File->Open Data Folder and then browse to tester/history. In there, you will see numerous FXT files which Tickstory would have generated. You can remove them as necessary.
The next time you export, if you want to conserve disk space, you can just select the time-frames you want to back-test in (15-min, etc).
Hope this helps.
